After five years of rejection, unemployment and depression, God revealed my purpose: creating The New Orleans East Sunshine Weekly newspaper.
After getting rejected for a job I was sure I’d get, I’m asking God to please provide enough money for me to pay my bills for three months, in full and on time, so as He’s long wished I can finish writing my late mom’s memoir, Greener Grass, Different Drummer. Amen.
Finally finished my mom’s memoir, Greener Grass, Different Drummer! Everything fell into place. Only took five years, and a random Thread.
After years of long-term unemployment, thanks to some supernatural advice, I’m switching gears. No more job search, no more wasting talent.
After over a decade in journalism, with tons of enviable bylines and even a book, I see I’m the one with “a little more experience.” Is your job search similar?
Social media networks are designed to elicit addiction in users. I’m fighting back with digital minimalism and a dopamine detox.
Seeking your testimonies of stepping out on faith, times you jumped and the parachute opened, to include in a free e-book to encourage others. Thank you so much!
So much synchronicity and alignment lately, feeling the anticipation. Other feelings too, literary writing over journalism, a non-profit.
Before it was trendy to hire Black writers and let them be Black, a newsstand magazine let me know my coverage of a Black business was too Black.
