Baby I worship a God of "suddenly" frfr.
PERSONAL LIFE: "Springtime Megan" didn't see her shadow soooo she popped back out at the end of summer! Also it helps that I get to dress cute at work and go to court and stuff, plus I have a lil money for happy hours. So. I be outside enough to be an active friend and to be a lil flirtatious.
"Gettin' my flirt on, playa, ain't nothin'"- Foxy Brown
Oh yeah and I went to see Ganking Mr. Guidry at Le Petit, it was wonderful! It was like a Dillard reunion lowkey. Speaking of Dillard, my dear friend Vernon Evans passed due to the heat overworking his heart. Jesus. God bless baby Jaylon. I'm so glad he didn't pass on a hike with him.
CAREER: I wrote about it on my website, but long story short I have a job I love and at which I feel I excel! Craziest part, I didn't apply for this job. Like one of my former colleagues, Ms. Zerlander Ragas, taught me about a decade ago, "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called." I can tell you guys: it's property management and leasing. For a super cool guy who actually invests in the East. Amazing!
NEWSPAPER: Can I be really fucking frank? Folks wanna whine about businesses in the East never getting any publicity, and it's like niggaaaaaaa I fucking made a free Google form for you to share very simple facts about your restaurants. Shit you should know. Why am I asking the restaurants to fill it out? Because that's the least they can fucking do. And NO ONE FILLED IT OUT. Over it! So. Whatever. Waiting on a story I BEEN wrote to get published (chile I have my thoughts on that), because maybe that will inspire them to fill out my easy ass form. However, it kills me that the white restaurants, the places outside the East, they know how to do the shit. Like... I just be DROVE.
Newspaper is still coming, of course. But y'all they really want me to work at my job lol, I be busy all day! So that's all I have time for. Figuring out how to find more time for the paper, but I think that's just a mental block since I don't have the money yet. BUT WILL! Lemme just catch up from having been unemployed for six freaking years lol.
FUN WITH FRANKLIN: Back to school! GOD IS GOOD! He's doing sooooo great in 7th grade, baby is locked in. Of course I still worry about the same things I worry about, but like my Auntie Mel taught me all I can do is be a great parent myself. Can only pray that he's protected every time he's outside my sight. He loves aftercare, which is great because it costs $175/month lol. It's great for both of us that I have a job now, because I'm happier of course and less stressed about things like buying school clothes.
